Father, son in coma after plunging into oceanDate Posted: 2009-11-19 Okinawa City Police say “It was dark around the fishing port as the father stopped his bicycle near the port. Somehow, the wind blew strongly, pushing the bicycle down into the ocean. The man’s 22-month-old son was on the bicycle when it plunged into the water. The father immediately cried for help, then jumped into the water to save his son. A boat captain nearby heard the cry, and pulled the father and the boy from the water. Neither individual’s heart was beating, but fast transport to a hospital saved both the unconscious son and the father.
