Yui-rail makes for a picture perfect birthday celebrationDate Posted: 2009-11-19 Envy turned to a reality Sunday as Miyazato found himself riding the monorail, along with 80 other people helping celebrate his 105th birthday. For literally years, he had been telling the nursing home staff, as well as his relatives, about how much he’d love to be riding the train instead of watching it roll past. The family and nursing home discovered that Yui-rail has a program where anyone can rent the train for a special event such as a wedding party, birthday party or simply a private gathering. Friends, relatives and the nursing facility staff contracted the Yui-rail train for the celebration, setting up the surprise event. Sunday Miyazato and some of his fellow residents at the nursing home boarded Yui-rail at the Shuri Station, then road the train the length of the system to Naha International Airport, then back. Tears in his eyes, Miyazato watched as the monorail ran slowly past his home, headed toward the final destination at Shuri Station. It was a super special birthday for the Naha City man.
