Heavy metal rules at Fuji Fest 09Date Posted: 2009-09-17   The end of the summer special event at Club Fujiyama in Okinawa City puts seven bands on stage for an evening of metal, punk, alternative and other music genre, but no hip hop or country. Chains, 2 Side 1 brain, Death Point Theory, Fake Kingz, Chuck wow, SF and Shisa Massache will be on stage, and deejays will also be entertaining between sets. Doors open at Club Fujiyama at 6 p.m. Club Fujiyama, one of the oldest venues on Gate 2 Street, has been around since May 1996 as the center of the rock music scene. It’s Live House concept has provided opportunities for dozens of local musicians to play before live audiences of American military, civilian and local crowds. The club, where the theme is “If the music is too loud, you’re too old!,” is located on Gate 2 Street, halfway between Kadena Gate 2 and Highway 330.
