Japan Update Weekly Winners - 2008/12/11

Jameka Pruitt won the Y5,000 gift coupon to Esthetiq Salon Come Across in this week’s raffle. Originally from Kentucky, she has lived on Okinawa two years, and says she is very happy to have an opportunity to be here. “I heard wonderful things about this island before moving here, and I have to say that is has met my expectations completely,” she confesses. Her favorite spots on the islands are Okuma and all other beaches around the island. “Our whole family loves the beaches and cultural experiences here,” she says.

Monica Wiggins is the winner of a set of two bottles of original Okinawan wine. She says she has been on Okinawa only eight weeks, most of which has rained. “I actually really enjoy the rain,” she admits. “My children seem to enjoy being here and that brings joy to me,” she says. She says that she can’t say yet what the best places on the island are but, “I have heard great stories, and am looking forward to having plenty of fun.”
