Francesca Fleming is the lucky winner of a 12-hour stay at Hotel Plumeria Garden this week. She’s from California and has lived on Okinawa a little over one year. She says that “As this is my husband’s and my first duty station outside the U.S. everything is new, but I love all the diverse food we can have here.” She says that the most precious thing that has happened her since coming to Okinawa was having her first baby. “Okinawa has also shown me that’s there is way more for me to explore and learn in the world,” she concludes.

Chris Merrill of Florida won a \3,000 discount ticket to Kupu Kupu Spa this week. He has been on Okinawa two years but has been on the island on deployments before. His favorite moments on the island are walks with his family along Araha Beach and the gorgeous sunsets, which he can enjoy from the balcony of his apartment. “I also think that the best spot to have fun on Okinawa is the American Village area in Mihama,” he says.
