Miyagi Park just right for youngsters

Miyagi Park is a calm, safe park, nestled in a residential neighborhood near an elementary school.

It’s ideal for youngsters of all ages, offering playground and sports equipment targeted to all ages. Miyagi Park has swings, sliding boards and a sand box for the younger children, making it an ideal afternoon stop before dinner. It’s location in the midst of a housing area, away from heavy traffic, makes it an ideal park for parents to let children run free.

Athletic fields are available for older kids. Baseball is popular, while other visitors enjoy running. Miyagi Park has plenty of trees and lush green grass for parents and others to just kick back and relax while the younger generation plays. Miyagi Park has restroom facilities.

To visit Miyagi Park, exit Kadena Air Base Gate One, turning left onto Highway 58. At the Chinese restaurant Toyo Hanten, turn right. Continue past the huge Toyota used car lot, then turn right and continue to the Hamagawa Elementary School. Miyagi Park sits to the left of the school’s main gate.
